Fees
Fees for a 50-minute psychotherapy hour are based on the customary rates for psychologists in this area and are discussed during the initial contact. Payment is usually made at the beginning or end of each therapy session and receipts are provided if requested.
Cancellation
If you need to reschedule or cancel an appointment, please do so as soon as possible. You will be billed for missed appointments that are not cancelled at least 48 hours prior to the scheduled time. If you need to cancel or change an appointment, you may leave a message on my voice mail.
Insurance
The services provided by Sevitar are not covered by any managed care networks (e.g., HMOs) and no billing of insurance companies are made by Sevitar. However, many PPO insurance plans provide coverage for mental health services provided by licensed professionals. If you are using a PPO, you may choose to submit your therapy receipts to your insurance company for reimbursement. As the client it is your responsibility to be informed about your insurance coverage. If you plan to use your insurance, contact your insurance carrier prior to your first session to ask about your benefits for psychotherapy. The following are questions you may want to address:
- Your coverage for psychotherapy, including couples therapy and teletherapy
- Your coverage for an out-of-network provider
- Whether a mental health diagnosis is required for reimbursement
- The amount of your deductible
- Number of visits per calendar year
